DHC's Garden Fertilizer COSMO
1. Price as a a slow-release fertilizer is eocnomical.
2. High quality of DHC COSMO as a slow-release fertilizer
Coated slow-release fertilizer
As coated fertilizers such as Osmocote are quite expensive, the speed of elution may vary depending on the surrounding environment where fertilizer has been applied. Especially in case of high temperature and humidity in summer, a large amount of fertilizer components elutes. Thus its quality is not satisfactory for its price.
Slow-release nitrogen fertilizer
Only nitrogenous components are made as slow-release type, and the remaining components (e.g. phosphoric acid, K2O, magnesia, potassium, etc.) are made as water-soluble, then applying on the ground. After time passes, NPK's unbalance leads to lack of components like phosphoric acid and K2O, etc. For this reason, expected effects cannot be obtained in terms of the productivity and quality, etc. of crops.
The methods that make nitrogenous components as slow-release type are:- Blend a certain amount of MU(Methylene urea) with water soluble NPK
- Blend coating agents with
a composite fertilizer
High-quality COSMO slow-release fertilizer of DHC
As per the specifications of 18-8-9-5Mg-6Ca and 10-10-15-3Mg-10Ca, all components are made as slow-release type such as N P K Mg Ca. During the slow release time, N P K Mg Ca continuoulsy supply initially-designed nutrient components. It will result in the expected output volume and quality of crops.
Especially COSMO slow-release fertilizer is not a coated fertilizer. Main component of N is MU, and main components of P, K, Mg, and Ca are slow-release type themselves (Although the solubility in water is not high, it dissolves in the organic acids releasing from roots of plants). As the fertilizer applied on the ground is not affected by its surrounding environment, it is considered the best product as a slow-release fertilizer for gardening.
3. Excellent adaptation
Test of high-bed cultivation system of strawberries
Most of strawberry farms grow strawberries by the high bed system due to labor, sanitation, and productivity, etc. As nutrition is supplied with nutrient solution, it is cumbersome and does not result in good taste.
In order to solve such problems, testing on strawberries was conducted as per the attachment and results are shown: On Sep. 23, 2015, the amount of applied nitrogenous fertilizer for strawberries was calculated, i.e. 25kg of nitrogen for 1000a of strawberry cultivation area. And 20 ~ 25 ~ 30gr of DHC's COSMO slow-release fertilizer was applied to each 1 strawberry tree. Without additional application, strawberries of fine quality were harvested for five months up to May 25, 2016.
Adaptation to various plants
Just like high-bed cultivation of strawberries, it can be applied to any farming without additonal application for the entire growth duration of crops.
4. Ratio of N P K Mg Ca can be applied, depending on types of crops.
- E.g.
- Strawberry 10-10-15-3Mg-10Ca
- Rice 18-8-9-5Mg-6Ca
- General gardening 13-8-9-3Mg-10Ca
- Sod, Turf 10-9-9-3Mg-15Ca
5. Quite cheap, High-qulilty
As shown above, it can be applied to various crops or plants. If desiring to supply fertilizer components for the entire growth duration of crops only with one application, DHC is quite cheap, therefore we consider only COSMO, high-qulilty slow-release type, will be most appropriate.
6. Design of COSMO slow-release fertilizer
The specifications of N P K Mg Ca (Citrate Soluble) are drawn up on the basis: After grinding the fertilizer to a fineness of 200 mesh, shake them in citrate acid 2% solution for 30 minutes, then measure the dissolved components.
As for COSMO, poorly water soluble components cover the water soluble components. COSMO slow-release ferilizer is designed in consideration of amounts of fertilizer components dissolved in water, Poorly WaterSoluble of materials, materials of crops applied, the period of fertilization effect, and so forth.
